Application: Triclopyr is a systemic herbicide that moves throughout the plant tissue and works by interfering with cell growth and division. Following treatment, plant growth will be abnormal and twisted, and then plants will die within two to three weeks after application. Triclopyr is used to control broadleaf weeds while leaving grasses and conifers unaffected or to control rust diseases on crops. Triclopyr is effective on woody plants and is used for brush control in the right-of-way and defoliation of wooded areas. It is also used for broadleaf weeds, particularly creeping charlie (Glechoma hederacea).
